Dasha wasn’t the only French Bulldog to greet me when I arrived for her shoot. My periphery vision caught in the next room some movement in a basket, which was strangely calling my name. Psst. Over here. So I went. And I peered over to see pink bellies, baby blue eyes and tiny limbs akimbo. A basket full of STEAMING PUPPIES fresh out of the oven! Dasha’s owner bred one of her other mature Frenchies, Nona. And here are her babies at 5 weeks old. It took much willpower to not stuff them all in my mouth and take off for the woods, but luckily Dasha was there to paw at my arms, reminding me that she was the focus today, and that the puppies could wait.

      Eeeee!

So after we finished up our shoot with Dasha, the puppies were UNLEASHED! onto the living room floor…where they proceeded to roll around in all different directions…slowly…like heavy, oversized marbles. Or drunk snails. Too. Stinking. Cute.

Dan took the below shot. It took my eyes a few seconds to figure out what they were looking at. It’s a puppy nursery!

Aunt Dasha, so gentle and sweet with the puppies.

      Sobbing now.

I did have a favorite puppy out of the foursome. His name is Luie – the black and white one wearing eyeliner.

Oh. My. God. I want ALL of these puppies!! They can fit into the pouches of my camera bag and go with me all over campus to my shoots! Seriously, though that one of Dasha nose to nose with her mirror image puppy… too adorable!!

My thoughts exactly. Oh. My. GOD! Frickin’ adorable.

Gah, I want them! I don’t know how you managed to resist not taking all of them home with you! Too cute!

This is the cutest thing I think I have ever seen (don’t tell my daughter)

Your photos are looking really great and I can see your improvements in every shot. I have been reading for a long time now, and I think your shots are fantastic. I would love to have your job. You are an inspiration to me to take better photos of my two dogs. Keep up the great work, I am really enjoying it!

OMG so sweeet. Just look at their tiny little toes. Gorgeous photos.

OHHHHHHHHH It’s not helping me in making choices of whom to keep!

What a beautiful bunch of frenchies…I love their heads and expressions. The photographer is very talented and has captured the essence of the of this very attractive breed.

I cannot even believe that you didn’t snag one & ship it to me…

I COULD EAT THEM ALL UP!! I am overwhelmed by the cuteness that is bat ears and sheep tails! I have an olde english bulldog that is black and white…this takes me back to her puppy days (They didn’t last long enough!)
I would be playing with those 4 everyday!

OMG Please send me the black one and the black & white one as they match my sheep lol :) These pups are adorable & you have outdone yourself with the photography!

Beautiful healthy looking babies. I just love the pictures. Baby and mom nose to nose is my favorite but how can you resist those eyes with all four looking into the camera.

I do not even now what to do with myself right now. It is too much!!! I just want to lay on the floor and snuggle them all. Fantastic photos, Li!!

Oh Olga, how lovely, what great pics, we both like the brindle on the far left in the basket, but they are all gorgeous. Great photographer wish she was in England.

Beautiful pics of beautiful, cutie-ful pups – just ripe for snuggling!

Hi Li – I just found your blog and WOW! love your work, I am starting my pet photography business on the West coast – now only if we could package up puppy breath in bottles and sell it… ;)
