This is a long overdue post for a handsome, rotund cat named Figaro. You may remember him from the Animal Rescue League of Boston, because he was an unwilling resident there for more months than is decent for as beautiful and as personable a cat as Figaro.

Well now he has a new home, with rooms with wall-to-wall carpeting. There is also a fellow feline companion named Murphy (he’s orange!) to while away the day. I visited him a few months ago on a warm summer’s afternoon (wah I miss those kinds of days), and together we stalked birds flitting just outside the window, ran around and played with string – to burn off those extra poundages gained from sitting in a cage for so long. Later Figaro had a snack and took a nap.

If there is one word to describe Figaro, it’s “regal.” Gorgeous kitty!

I’m so excited for Figaro! Ah, happy endings…

      *starts singing* Figaro, Figaro!

Hey, in Disney’s Pinocchio the cat is named Figaro, and he’s black and white, too!

I love his expression in the last one. He’s like a fat king. Look at that pleased expression! And the detail on the upclose one of the orange tabby is amazing. Look at those nose freckles!

aw, i’m so glad to hear that he is out of the shelter! Hurrah! I hope everything works out well for him–w/the new feline-sibling and the human-family! What a cutie!

      Hooray for a happy ending!

      I love a happy ending!

Figaro looks quite content in his new home, and with his new friend :-) Thank you for the update!

So happy for Figaro! What a handsome guy… Love that last shot!

Oh, I would have taken Figaro in a heart beat if I had seen him in a shelter. What a cute kitty.

I love happy endings – thanks for the update

Figaro? Isn’t there a cartoon in which Sylvester sings “Figaro”? Also, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’d be a happy person if I could arrange to look at your pet photos for a living.

you photograph cats like no one else i know. i love it!
