Last fall I photographed Justine’s chihuahua Lita, as well her mother’s senior German Shepherd mixes Dax and Luna. This summer we met up again – sans dogs – for Justine’s marriage to Chris at the Commander’s Mansion in Watertown, MA. The ceremony was to be held outdoors on the grounds, however due to a quick but massive downpour everything was moved inside. Which might have been just as well. It was ridiculously hot out there! Some highlights of the evening: really long, fake lashes (I gotta try those someday), a BFF who officiated the wedding, whoopie pies for dessert, kids as cute as whoopie pies in attendance, and the groom’s son who drilled a giant hole into the floor from all his raging dance moves.

      Awesome pics Li!
I especially love your illustrations :)

oh my goodness! i LOVE the one of the boy playing the air guitar while the people in the background are jumping up and dancing. fun, beautiful and just so freaking awesome rolled into one!

this wedding looks like so much fun!! you seriously captured the spirit! :) The mansion is so beautiful, I met up with a bride & groom I did invitations for there in the early spring. Love seeing calligraphy there too! p.s. we are having whoopie pies….mini ones, so steal many! ;)

Love them all! My friends and family can’t stop raving about your work; check my FB for proof! :)

Beautiful work… my fav is the profile of the girl w/ red flowers laughing… how real of a moment is that! you captured it beautifully as always…

I have never tried a whoopie pie, but my understanding is they’re like cupcake tops with icing in between. There’s a cookbook I’ve read rave reviews about here:

      http://www.amazon.com/Whoopie-Pies-Cookery-Sarah-Billingsley/dp/0811874540/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1280181539&sr=8-1

I think I must have this book, especially after seeing your pics. If I bake these, would it count as making whoopie? HA!
