Boston’s Best Calligrapher 2011

July 9th, 2011

According to Improper Bostonian’s Best Of issue, on stands now! Very honored and excited…and surprised!

Boston's Best 2011

It has been a really unexpectedly busy calligraphy season which started at the beginning of the year and pretty much hasn’t let up. Many many thanks to Parrott Design Studio and Goosefish Press for spreading the word and sending people my way, even when I was extremely green and wobbly! Now, with photography season in full swing, the earliest I can accept any calligraphy project is late-August. Planning ahead is essential: you should contact me at least 6 weeks ahead of your drop date. I can no longer accommodate last-minute requests (“I need to send my envelopes out in two weeks” is considered very last-minute). So even if you’re just entertaining the idea of having your invitations addressed, or escort/place cards written, or anything else hand-lettered, contact me now and get yourself penciled into the schedule!

Here is one of the latest styles I just finished lettering. It’s red gouache on eggshell blue envelopes.
