Ben and Ginger: A Tale of Two Cockapoos

I’m finishing up posting some shoots from 2009. These adorable fuzzballs of fun are Ben and Ginger, cockapoos extraordinaire at your service. Our shoot took place back in November at their home in Savin Hill, MA. Ben is the cream-colored, Ginger is the rotund chocolate. Her coat is so very luxurious upon that round body, that like a giant hairy marble she rolled rather than ran towards her intended destination. It is no surprise that Ben was always the first to arrive at the squeaky toy or the stick, with Ginger huffing and puffing from behind!

Very nice, where did that crazy lens-flare come from? Natural or PS? I like it, either way. Those 2 b/w uprights don’t work for me TBH, love the rest though.

I love your photos and have put your blog in my blog list on my own blog. :) I’m not very close to MA but your work is so fun, I’ll really enjoy watching your blog. I had to um in and let you know that the two b/w uprights that Simon doesn’t like are my favorites. It think it is because of the momentum implied in the photos and that crazed look in Ginger’s eye – we had an English Springer with that same loopy look when she was playing something Really fun.

Another vote for the b/w – great work as always!

  4. Andra Says:

personally – I like the upright b/w – they are different in their composition – “fresh & candid” shots – love the lead in the photo – the colors are so wonderful – cheers!

RE: sunflare – The window in the bedroom is facing west, and the light is coming from the sun setting through the window. There were no trees filtering the light before it entered the room, so I was able to get some major flare.

I love the series of three of Ben with the ball- just awesome. I think the black and whites are fun- art is all in the eye of the person beholding it.

These guys are so cute!! I love the flare! Awesome images Li! I especially love the outdoor images. The 3rd black and white shot makes me laugh. That expression! :)
